Cookies used by this application
These cookies belong to this site. The application does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics trackers. Fonts, scripts and styles are served by this site.
| Cookie | Purpose and when it is used | Lifetime |
|---|---|---|
ddm-learning-hub-session |
Maintains your session, sign-in state and form messages. Necessary for secure course access. | 120 minutes, renewed during use. Server-side sessions also expire after inactivity. |
XSRF-TOKEN |
Helps protect form requests against cross-site request forgery. | 120 minutes, renewed during use. |
remember_web_… |
Remembers an email/password login only when you select “Keep me signed in on this device”. The full name includes a generated suffix. | Up to 400 days from being set, or until you sign out or remove it. |
pilot_profile |
Remembers the individual pilot profile you choose with Start new or Continue on this browser. It connects this browser to progress stored on the server. | 180 days, renewed when you continue your profile. Signing out preserves it. |
Remembering a pilot profile
The profile screen explains the cookie before you start or continue. Its random identifier contains no coursework or real name, but links to a server-side student profile. You still need the shared pilot login and must choose Continue on this browser to return to that profile.
Someone using the same browser with the shared pilot login could resume the saved profile. On a shared computer, sign out and remove this site's pilot_profile cookie when finished. Choose Start new for your own work; do not continue someone else's profile.
Your choices and removing cookies
Leave “Keep me signed in on this device” unchecked if you do not want a remembered email/password login. Signing out removes that remembered-login cookie, but preserves the pilot profile cookie.
To stop remembering a pilot profile, sign out, open your browser's settings for cookies or site data, find this site's domain and delete pilot_profile, or remove all cookies for this site. Removing all site cookies also ends your current session.
Clearing or blocking the pilot cookie, letting it expire or switching browsers means you cannot recover that profile through the pilot flow. Starting new replaces the saved browser identifier. None of these actions deletes the earlier profile's progress or submissions from the server; use the privacy contacts for a data request.
Blocking all cookies prevents secure sign-in and form use. Necessary session and security cookies support the service you request; persistent remembering is explained at the relevant sign-in or profile action.
Video buffering and browser cache
Your browser may keep portions of course videos and captions in its private HTTP cache to reduce repeat downloads. Before reusing these stored responses for a new request, it must check access with this website. Cache availability and removal depend on your browser; signing out does not erase already downloaded video bytes. On a shared computer, also clear cached files in your browser's settings when needed.
Your last playback position is saved with your course progress on the server, so the same account or pilot profile can resume a lecture. This does not add a separate cookie or local-storage identifier.
